The Coachella Valley problem, plainly

For years, solar in the desert largely meant one name: Renova Energy of Palm Desert. Then SunPower — whose systems Renova sold as a Master Dealer — collapsed in 2024, Renova halted and limped and finally filed Chapter 7 in March 2026, and thousands of Riverside County systems ended up with no installer of record. Our Renova Energy guide covers the details, including the genuinely unsettled question of what the successor company will honor.

Desert systems cannot wait on that question. Heat is brutal on inverters, monitoring that was registered under a dead company's account goes silent without warning, and an array quietly dropping a string in June is an expensive thing to discover in December's electric bill.

What we do in Riverside County and the valley

System diagnostics under an active C-10 electrical license, manufacturer warranty claims for equipment that failed under a gone installer, monitoring re-registered under your own name, battery health checks, and roofing — including reroofs under existing arrays, handled by one crew holding both the roofing and electrical licenses. If your system was on a SunPower lease that moved to SunStrong, the lease is its own question; the hardware on the roof is ours.

What working with us looks like

  • Estimates are always free — no deposit, no pressure, and no penalty for saying no.
  • The $399 inspection report, credited toward your job — the full written picture of a roof, a solar system, or both, with the fee coming off the invoice if you hire us.
  • One license, three trades — general building (B), electrical (C-10), and roofing (C-39) under CSLB #1130793, so a reroof under solar is one crew and one contract instead of two companies pointing at each other.
  • Manufacturer warranty legwork — in many cases we can replace failed equipment at no cost to you under the manufacturer's warranty; the inspection report tells us whether you qualify.

Call (858) 541-1097 and tell us where you are and what is going on. We are based in San Diego and we will be straight with you about scheduling a crew to your area — we would rather say no on the phone than waste your afternoon.
