Bellator Roofing worked a wide footprint — based in the Whittier / Pico Rivera area, with a presence across Los Angeles County, the South Bay, and down into San Diego. On October 13, 2025, the Contractors State License Board revoked its license, CSLB #1072600. The entry appears in CSLB's published list of licenses revoked that month, and the company's Yelp listings — Pico Rivera, Hermosa Beach, and San Diego — are all now marked closed.

To be fair about what a revocation does and does not say: CSLB's monthly list gives no reason, and licenses can be revoked over procedural failures like a lapsed bond or an unpaid judgment rather than bad workmanship. We will not guess at the cause. The practical consequence is simple, though: a contractor without an active California license cannot legally take on new work. You can check the status yourself at cslb.ca.gov — license 1072600.

What this means for your roof

The workmanship warranty is the casualty. The promise that covered leaks, flashing, and installation quality was Bellator's to honor, and there is no licensed company left standing behind it. Practical reality, not legal advice.

Manufacturer warranties on the materials usually survive — GAF, Owens Corning, CertainTeed and the other makers warrant their products separately from the installer. Whether an enhanced system warranty survives depends on its terms; bring your paperwork and we will read it with you.

Deposits and unfinished jobs belong with the state: CSLB's complaint process, and in some cases the contractor's license bond, exist for exactly this. Start at cslb.ca.gov under "Consumers."

And get the roof looked at before the rainy season does it for you. Work done by a company in its final stretch deserves a careful check — crews get thin, punch lists go unfinished, and small flashing shortcuts turn into ceiling stains in January.
