The situation every orphaned solar customer is in

When an installer closes, three things typically happen to its customers:

• The workmanship warranty typically becomes unenforceable. Coverage for the installation itself — mounting, wiring, roof penetrations — was only ever as durable as the company behind it.
• Manufacturer warranties usually survive. Panels, inverters and batteries are typically covered by their manufacturers for 10–25 years from install, honored directly by the manufacturer. But a manufacturer warranty still needs a licensed contractor to diagnose the fault, file the claim and swap the hardware. In many cases we can replace failed equipment at no cost to you under the manufacturer's warranty — our inspection report tells us whether you qualify.
• Monitoring can go dark. If your production data flowed through an installer-managed account, it may have stopped reporting — which doesn't mean the system stopped producing, but does mean nobody would know if it did.
